About Me

Hello, I’m Jahaan Khurana – a B.Com graduate from the University of Delhi, born and brought up in Delhi. My journey into the food and beverage industry wasn’t something that happened overnight. It started early, shaped by curiosity, hard work, and a constant urge to create something of my own. It was driven not just by ambition, but by a deep curiosity and a hunger to create something meaningful.
I’ve always believed that standing out comes from daring to think differently. Whether it was a simple idea or a complex challenge, I was never afraid to do things my own way. That mindset has shaped everything I do. I’ve always embraced uniqueness – not for the sake of being different, but to bring genuine value through originality.
Over the years, I’ve also stayed close to social initiatives. One of the most humbling experiences was being approached by the Home Affairs to volunteer – something that taught me the value of purpose beyond work.
I’m excited to share my upcoming book on entrepreneurship and personal development. It reflects my experiences, insights, and the belief that with passion and purpose, anyone can build something extraordinary.

My Journey
2008 – My First International Journey
After graduating in 2008, I got the chance to travel outside India for the first time. Suggested by a close connection I visited a clothing exhibition in Durban, South Africa. I didn’t know exactly what to expect, but I was excited to explore something new.
I started my journey in Durban, and within 15 days, I also visited Cape Town and then Pietermaritzburg. I spent about 45 days in South Africa. Every city I visited had something new to offer, from the culture and people to the way business was done there.
This trip wasn’t just about clothes, it was about gaining perspective. It gave me a glimpse into how global markets work and helped me understand the importance of real-world exposure. That journey planted the first seed of entrepreneurship in me and sparked a deeper interest in exploring business ideas on a larger scale.
2009 – China’s Business World
In 2009, I took another big step in my journey by traveling to China. This time, my goal was to learn how international business works, especially in the mobile and clothing industries. I wanted to understand how trade happens between countries, how products are sourced, and how businesses grow through import and export.
I stayed in China for nearly six months and explored major business hubs like Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Beijing, and Shanghai. Each city had its own energy and business style, and I made sure to absorb as much as I could.
During this time, I visited local markets, spoke with traders, and observed how businesses operated. I studied how mobile phones were manufactured and distributed, how clothing lines were set up, and how businesses from two countries connect to grow together.
This experience gave me real-world knowledge that no book could offer. It shaped my understanding of supply chains, global trade, and market strategies. It was another turning point that brought me closer to the world of entrepreneurship.
Late 2009 – Roti Aur Boti
In late 2009, while traveling to South Africa, I had a 24-hour layover in Doha, Qatar. The airline arranged a hotel stay for the transit, and instead of staying in, I decided to explore the local surroundings.
As I stepped out, I found myself immersed in the sights and aromas of Middle Eastern cuisine—from shawarma being freshly carved to khabuz bread baking in traditional ovens, and rich tahini served with almost every meal. The experience was simple, yet inspiring.
This brief visit left a lasting impression on me. The food was not only delicious but also carried a deep cultural identity. It sparked the idea of introducing these authentic flavors back home in India.
That moment led to the creation of Roti aur Boti—a brand inspired by Middle Eastern cooking, thoughtfully blended with Indian taste preferences. That unplanned break in Doha became the spark for an exciting food venture.
2016 - Six Pack Momos
In 2016, I introduced 6 Pack Momos—an innovative take on one of Delhi’s most loved street foods. We introduced a unique concept—machine-made momos with a massive variety of 250+ flavors, combining hygiene, speed, and creativity.
With the capacity to produce up to 10,000 momos per hour, we were able to serve consistently high-quality products at scale. The idea quickly caught on, becoming a favorite among momo lovers and setting a new benchmark in the market.
It was a step forward in showing how local favorites could be transformed through smart processes and fresh thinking.
2019 – The Rolling Plate
Building a Vision in Uncertain Times. The Rolling Plate was founded on 15th August 2019, during a time when the world was facing uncertainty and lockdowns due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While most industries were forced to pause, the food sector remained active—serving as an essential need. This inspired the idea to build something strong, scalable, and future-ready.
With that vision, The Rolling Plate was born—a cloud kitchen platform designed to support food entrepreneurs through a unique FOCO model (Franchise Owned, Company Operated). In this model, the franchisee invests in the brand, while all day-to-day operations, management, and order fulfillment are handled by the company. This removes the operational burden from the franchise partner, allowing them to benefit without being directly involved in kitchen management.
Over the past 6 years, The Rolling Plate has grown steadily and successfully, with multiple cloud kitchen brands operating under one umbrella. It continues to make food entrepreneurship more accessible, affordable, and efficient across India.
